  1. Day 01

    Momella Gate to Miriakamba Huts

    Drive to the park gate, then walk through Arusha National Park — plains behind you, Meru ahead. Giraffe, buffalo and monkeys are common. The forest thickens. About three hours, then dormitory huts.

  2. Day 02

    Miriakamba Huts to Saddle Huts

    Kilimanjaro to the east at breakfast. Up to the Saddle as the vegetation changes. Lunch at Saddle Hut, then a short climb of Little Meru for acclimatization.

  3. Day 03

    Summit and down to Momella Gate

    Midnight start under the stars. Rhino Point, a short descent, then the crater wall around the ash cone. Sunrise on the last rocky stretch — Kilimanjaro to the east. 8–10 hours to the top, then all the way to Momella Gate and the drive back.
